OUR LAWYERS

Cynthia Watson graduated "with distinction" with a Bachelor of Arts from University of Toronto and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School where she studied a diverse range of courses with a specialization in labour law.

Cynthia completed her articles with the Ontario Labour Relations Board and worked with the Ministry of Labour, Legal Services Branch. This term with the Board and Ministry of Labour provided Cynthia with valuable insight into the internal workings and policy/decision-making structure of these bodies.

Since her call to the bar, Cynthia has conducted a busy labour litigation practice, regularly appearing before arbitration panels and the Ontario Labour Relations Board, Canada Industrial Relations Board and the Courts. Cynthia has experience in both private and public sectors in the federal and provincial spheres in construction, industrial, and professional contexts.  Additionally, Cynthia has considerable experience in legislative lobbying efforts on behalf of her trade union clients.

Cynthia has earned a reputation as an effective, aggressive litigator on behalf of her clients, as well as successfully effecting negotiated settlements in a number of forums. Her ideological commitment to furthering the rights of workers enhances her effectiveness in achieving gains on their behalf.
